The Single Swing LUX G BT 2B Hydraulic Gate Operator
ArtisticGateConcepts.com is proud to be the first to offer a low voltage hydraulic gate operator. Hydraulic gate openers are stronger and more reliable than electromechanical gate openers, and are therefore trusted more. They offer many advantages that make them superior and preferrable over electromechanical gate openers. The Single Swing LUX BT can support gates of up to 700 lbs and 15 feet in length. |
The main shaft of the gate operator is filled with hydraulic fluid, and there is a stopper in the center which separates the fluid into 2 chambers within the shaft. The stopper is connected to the part of the operator that moves in and out, opening and closing the gate. The motor is next to a pump with 2 tubes - one reaching into one chamber of fluid and another reaching into the other chamber of fluid. When activated, the pumps take water out of one chamber and pump it into the other chamber, which forces the stopper and likewise the gate operator to move in and out depending on whether the gate is opening or closing. Because of this simple design, hydraulic gate operators are much more reliable than electromechanical gate operators.
Electronically controlled 24V: The 24V technology means it can offer optimal performance. With a 24V power supply, any power outage can be detected automatically and the system switched to auxiliary battery power. This also means there are no risks of an electrical nature.
Performance: Hydraulic gate operators in general are more powerful and more reliable than electromechanical gate operators. Heavy machinery and construction equipment (such as cranes) rely on hydraulics, especially because they can withstand much colder temperatures than electromechanical equipment. Also, hydraulic gate operators require less maintainance than electromechanical gate operators (simply check the fluid levels periodically).
Self Contained: Hydraulic gate operators operate more smoothly than electromechanical gate operators because there are no gears (and consequently no gears that risk breaking). The hydraulic pump is built into it so there are no external parts.
Rear Joint: All versions feature a rear joint, which was previously offered on one specific model only. Installation is simpler since assembly errors can be corrected by means of the bracket.
Linear Encoder: Unbeatable travel limit and slow-down precision is provided through an absolute linear encoder via which the actuator's current exact position can be detected at any time. In the event of a power outage, there is no need to run a self-learning cycle to store the position of the limit switches.
Slow-down: All versions feature slow-down during opening and closing provided through the electronic control. Slow-down can be adjusted by up to: 98% in distance; 99% in speed.
Adjustable bracket: An adjustable rear bracket is available. Installation is simpler and takes less time since any assembly errors can be corrected.
Anti-Crush Feature: Designed for easier and quicker installation in conformity with the safety requirements laid down by the Machinery Directive. The anti-crush feature is implemented not just through the electronic torque control, but also through the linear encoder reading.
Wiring on Base:System setup is very flexible due to wiring directly on the base, thus avoiding the use of junction boxes.
Separate open/close: With the LIBRA C LX control panel, OPEN/CLOSE commands can be managed separately, resulting in greater operating flexibility even where magnetic loops are installed. Deadman logic can also be applied.
Release Key: All versions come with automatic release by means of a release key, which operates a bypass valve. Manual operation is made easier even on versions with no locking feature thanks to the reduction of pressure exerted by the piston.
Winter Oil: Hydraulic gate operators can withstand much colder temperatures than electromechanical ones. The properties of the new oil mean there is no need to use the preheating board. The operator is guaranteed to start automatically with temperatures as low as -20°C
BT BAT Kit: The system can be connected to the BTBAT emergency kit (accesory). With these batteries, the automated system provides uninterrupted operation even when there is a power outage.
How does a Hydraulic Gate Operator work?
