Purpose
The extended range antenna will boost transmitter range to around 250 feet depending on conditions. The receiver without the extended range antenna will allow transmitters to work with in a 50 foot range. The long range antenna will extend this range to 250 feet. This can be valuable in areas where you have a long driveway and you want to start opening the gate sooner, or a gate that is right on a street and you do not want to slow down in traffic to wait for the gate to open. It is also very effective at solving range issues due to interference.
Features
- Mounting Bracket – The mounting bracket makes setting up the antenna easy. It is L shaped so you can attach it to a post, column, fence or any other high & clear location.
- Strong Range - The antenna usually adds to the range to a strong 250'.
- 10' of wire provided - The antenna comes with 10' of coaxial wire that is rated to be used in an outdoor environment without needing conduit.
- Antenna – The actual antenna that sits in the bracket to receive the signal is precut to the correct length for the 318 MHz frequency.
