The Cedar Fluted columns are both stylish and durable. Made from the same wood as the cedar gates these columns are ready to go outdoors without finish or with a coating. The fluted columns are for decoration only, they are hollow inside. This cedar column can go over a post of up to 4”x4” pressure treated wood post. Do not hang the gate or opener on the column only, the gate or opener should be hung on the post inside the column. You can use lag bolts that go through both the column and the inner posts and still have the mounting plates on the outside of the column. The column sits at ground level so you will have the full height of the column in view.
